Biographical history
Fred Kerner graduated from Sir George Williams College in 1942 with an arts degree. He was editor of The Georgian 1940-1942. He was a member of the musical revue Georgiantics in 1940, and its director in 1941 and 1942. He has been a member of the Alumni Association of Sir George Williams since 1943. He is (in 2003) an honourary member. He served as the Association's president in 1973 and 1974. In 1975-1976 he sat on the Board of Governors of Concordia University, which was created with the merger of SGW with Loyola College in 1974.
Custodial history
The documents were in the possession of Fred Kerner before he donated them to the University.
Scope and content
This accession provides information on The Georgian and the Georgiantics during the late 1930s and 1940s, and the Alumni Association during the 1960s and 1970s.
The documents consist of clippings, event programs, lists of participants, working rules, correspondence, and photographs of Georgiantics scenes and performers and of alumni events.
