Biographical history

Maura McKeon is a descendant of Irish immigrants, who came to the province of Quebec in the 19th century.
Maura McKeon graduated from McGill University, Macdonald College - faculty of education in 1969. During 35 years she worked as a high school teacher for History and English at the CECM (Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal). She is a member of the board of directors of the St. Patrick’s Society of Montréal. She lives in Westmount, Quebec.

Custodial history

The fonds was transferred from Concordia University's Records Management and Archives Department to Concordia University Libraries' Special Collections March 16, 2016.

Scope and content

The fonds illustrates theatre life in Montreal from 1918 to 1963, in particular the presentations at His Majesty’s Theatre, later Her Majesty’s Theatre, in Montreal, Quebec.

The fonds consists of theatre programs from the His Majesty’s Theatre, later known as Her Majesty’s Theatre, Montreal.

The album was donated to Concordia University Archives by Maura McKeon on April 3, 2016. Some single documents were bought by Meilan Lam in a Toronto used bookstore and donated by her to the Concordia University Archives in 2009.
