The convocation was held on Sunday November 18, 1973 at Loyola College.

Nishith Mukerji, teacher and holder of four university degrees, is the recipient of the Evening Division Medal, awarded to the graduating student from the Evening Division with the highest overall academic average. He also received the Science Medal for the highest average in the Faculty of Science and was the valedictorian of the Convocation, held on Sunday, November 18, 1973.
