Originally named the Concordia Concert Hall the venue was renamed for acclaimed Montreal pianist Oscar Peterson in 1999.

Désirée McGraw, BA (econ.) 93, former president of the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation. She was appointed President of Pearson College in Victoria in 2015. The Concordia alumna became the first female president in the school's 40-year history.
