La correspondance inclut des lettres adressées à Laurette (dite Lola) Gagnon ainsi que Luc Gagnon. Y sont compris également des documents liés à l’éducation de Maurice Gagnon à Paris, des documents légaux ainsi que des dessins divers.
La série VIE PROFESSIONNELLE comprend une sous-série ENSEIGNEMENT qui inclut des notes de cours et documentation sur des thèmes liés à l’histoire de l’art : architecture, Le Corbusier, l’impressionnisme, la peinture italienne à la Renaissance, le réalisme/romantisme et la sculpture gothique, entre autres. La sous-série ÉCRITS comprend des copies du livre ‘Peinture moderne’ dont une version corrigée en 1944. La sous-série RECHERCHE ET MATÉRIEL DE RÉFÉRENCE comprend notamment une copie du livre ‘Projections libérantes’ de Paul-Émile Borduas.

Le fonds document l’histoire de la galerie aussi bien que son rôle dans la scène artistique montréalaise.
