Le fonds se compose de documents accumulés et créés par Derek Stanford au sujet de Christopher Fry. Il contient également des documents créés par Christopher Fry. Les documents de ce fonds datent principalement de 1969 et 1970, bien que certains documents soient datés de 1955. Les documents comprennent de la correspondance, des manuscrits, des essais et des critiques publiés, des coupures de journaux, des photographies, des programmes de théâtre et d'autres documents éphémères documentant la relation professionnelle entre Stanford et Fry ainsi que le travail du dramaturge britannique. The documents provide a portrait of English-language theatrical activity in Quebec, primarily in the period after the founding of QDF in 1972. The fonds contains budget, fundraising, and other financial records, legal documents, human resources documents, correspondence, records of the Quebec Drama Festival 1974-1984, documents relating to QDF-sponsored workshops, seminars, and programs, materials on the Dominion Drama Festival, theatre programs, and photographs. There is also material that was collected for a history of English-language theatre in Quebec.

Mary Morter fonds

The Mary Morter fond contains documents pertaining to theater in Montreal. More specifically, the fonds is composed of materials concerning the Instant Theatre and the Pendulum Theatre, both located in Montreal and founded and run by Mary Morter in the 1960s and 1970s. The fonds provides an overview of the programming at both theatres. It also provides insight into how the theaters were perceived by the public. In addition, the fonds contains a number of documents focusing on the play North American Indian Legends by Pendulum Theatre. Documents created by other theatres located in Montreal or Toronto provide additional insight into the English-speaking theatre scene in those cities in the 20th century.

The Mary Morter fonds contains theatre programs, photographs, posters, correspondence, magazines, scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, a sound recording, and various plays, among other documents.

The fonds contains some handouts on the Cathespian Guild and a few programs and photographs of some of the annual Catholic Drama Festivals. It also contains the Drama Festival award book entitled Award for Distinguished Achievement in Catholic Theatre.

The fonds provides information on Montreal Children's Theatre and its founders.

The fonds consists of five scrapbooks including press clippings and articles, as well as photographs, a video cassette of a media interviews with Dorothy Davis [ca. 1983, 1984] and of a report on her death in 1993, and the honourary degrees conferred by Concordia University on Dorothy Davis and Violet Walters in 1984.

The Black Theater Workshop fonds is composed of materials created and compiled by the Black Theater Workshop (BTW) and contains materials documenting the activities and operations of the BTW from its founding in 1972 until its 2007-2008 season. Documents are also reflective of the BTW's contributions to Montreal’s Black communities and to theater in Canada. Textual records and other materials document the BTW's administration, finances, awards, plays, programming, promotional activities, communications, and facilities, among other things.

The fonds is composed of textual records, including without limitations financial documents, grant applications, board meeting minutes, reports, play scripts, newspapers and newspaper clippings, promotional material, and correspondence; graphic materials as photographs, posters, logos, drawings, and others, sound recordings, moving images, and a T-shirt.

The Peter Madden fonds is composed of materials spanning Peter Madden’s career as a writer from the 1970s to the beginning of the 21st century. A major part of Peter Madden’s work reflects his experience in prison.

Documents include manuscripts, drafts, scripts, notes, correspondence, journals, notebooks and press clippings related to performances of Peter Madden's plays. The fonds contains examples of both published and unpublished poems, short stories, plays, and screenplays. It permits to follow the development of a play from the idea to its final version.
