The fonds includes a sound recording and a transcript of an interview with John Bland, professor emeritus of the McGill University School of Architecture. It was done in 1991 as an oral history project by graduate students in a course entitled “Modern Architecture in Canada”, given by Howard Shubert at Concordia University in 1991. An edited selection from the interview was published as “An Interview with Professor John Bland” in John Bland at Eighty: A Tribute, ed by I. Murray and N. Schoenauer (Montreal: McGill University, 1991), p. 4-17.

Among these documents you will find “Le Caf’ Conc' Opening Theme” composed by Nat Raiser. Also included are song lyrics, performance notes, correspondence, and documents related to the performance of comedy.

Most of the documents in the fonds are related to Michael Sheldon's career as a writer. They include copies of his fictional books; copies of magazines containing articles that he wrote, including some that were ghost-written by Michael Sheldon for executives of companies where he worked; manuscripts and articles on public relations practice; tear-sheets and clippings; and correspondence.

There are also many publications (books, newspapers) that were collected by the fonds creators throughout the years. Among these written documents is a travel diary and as well as some letters from the 19th century which cannot be clearly linked to the creators of the fonds, but are nevertheless an interesting source of information.

The fonds consists of 12 photographs showcasing Montreal orchestras in which Hanson performed, including the Westernaires, the Blue Serenaders, the Alouette Band, and Paul Beauregard’s Orchestra. The performers depicted in these photographs are mostly identified. The fonds also includes photocopies of press clippings.
