The 2011 Donor and Student Awards Celebration was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Montreal on March 15, 2011. The event allowed for scholarship recipients to thank their benefactors, as well as, induct undergraduate, graduate and fellowship awards.

On June 22, 2011, the Azrieli Foundation donated $5 million to enable Concordia University to establish the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies. The institute will be dedicated to the multidisciplinary study of Israel.
