Alumnus Howard Scott winner of the Governor General Award for Translation. The award was for The Euguelion, his translation of Louky Bersianik's Quebec feminist classic L'Euguélionne.

Robert Frances, BCom 87, MBA 91 was included in the Financial Post Magazine's "Top 40 Under 40" issue in April 1998, its third annual selection of Canada's leading young achievers in business, the professions, academia and public service.

Glen Murray

Glen Murray, attendee 84, past co-president of the Concordia University Students' Assocation, was elected mayor of Winnipeg in October 1999. Before entering into municipal politics, Glen was executive director of Winnipeg's AIDS clinic, was involved in street outreach work and took part in the successful campaign to amend Manitoba Human Rights Code to include sexual orientation as a ground for discrimination.
