The fonds contains research notes, press clippings, articles, articles and communications written by Viviane Namaste, correspondence, grant applications, and photographs. The fonds also include sound recordings of interviews conducted by Namaste for her book on transsexual artists and transcripts of interviews done for the Projet Polyvalence.

The records include founding documents, annual reports, committee minutes, financial statements and other financial records, employee files, files on buildings and facilities, and administrative files and correspondence relating to programs such as summer camps and courses.

The fonds also includes architectural drawings, scrapbooks of press clippings, brochures, and other promotional materials, photographs of Quebec YMCA events and activities from the late 19th century until the late 20th century, and objects such as flags, signs, plaques, pins and medals.

The fonds is related to Alan Hustak’s work as a journalist and author.
It consists mostly of research material on the Quebec physician and Montreal mayor of Irish origin Sir William Hales Hingston, (1829-1907). The material was collected by Alan Hustak in preparation of his book Sir William Hingston : Montreal Mayor, Surgeon and Banker, published in 2004.
The research material and articles on pilot Albert Mah (1920-2005) and Canadian broadcaster Jimmy Tapp (1918-2004) give an insight in Hustak’s work as a journalist. The fonds also includes photographs of singer Norma Hutton.

The fonds includes without limitations correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, brochures, manuscripts, book chapters and personal documents. Most documents are reproductions, made in the 1990s or later.

The fonds consists of 12 photographs showcasing Montreal orchestras in which Hanson performed, including the Westernaires, the Blue Serenaders, the Alouette Band, and Paul Beauregard’s Orchestra. The performers depicted in these photographs are mostly identified. The fonds also includes photocopies of press clippings.

The fonds highlights the personal and professional lives of Vincent and Olga Diniacopoulos as antiquarians, collectors, art dealers and travelers. It is comprised of personal letters from, and copies of letters to, family members, friends, and business associates. There are identification documents, passports, and other travel documents, school records and other materials from Olga and Denis’ childhoods’. The fonds includes personal/family photographs, negatives and slides ranging from the 19th century to the 1990s. There are photographs of antiques and works of art; however, many of the subjects are not identified. There are also many publications (books, newspapers) that were collected by the fonds creators throughout the years. Among these written documents is a travel diary and as well as some letters from the 19th century which cannot be clearly linked to the creators of the fonds, but are nevertheless an interesting source of information.

The fonds includes a sound recording and a transcript of an interview with John Bland, professor emeritus of the McGill University School of Architecture. It was done in 1991 as an oral history project by graduate students in a course entitled “Modern Architecture in Canada”, given by Howard Shubert at Concordia University in 1991. An edited selection from the interview was published as “An Interview with Professor John Bland” in John Bland at Eighty: A Tribute, ed by I. Murray and N. Schoenauer (Montreal: McGill University, 1991), p. 4-17.
