The fonds documents Daniel Feist’s work as a freelance broadcaster, journalist, musician and teacher, including his travels and participation in events such as Montreal’s Nuits d’Afrique festival, the United Nations Conference on Racism, music awards, and others. The material mainly covers the genre of world-beat music (also known as world music) in the period from 1990 to 2005. Some sound recordings of music performances include interviews with the artists.

The fonds includes without limitations biographies of artists, drafts of articles, consulting reports, teaching material, correspondence, books, sound recordings (digital audio tapes, reel-to-reel tapes, cassette tapes, and CDs), newspaper clippings, notes, and photographs (on CD-ROM and printed out in black and white).

John Loye fonds

The fonds provides information on the Irish community of Montreal in the 19th and early 20th century, and its view of Ireland and Irish culture. Some documents relate to the United Irish Societies (U.I.S.) of Montreal and the Saint Patrick’s Society of Montreal, as well as to Thomas d’Arcy McGee and John Loye, whereas others are standing in connection to James McAran, a Montreal merchant. The fonds also gives information on the Irish Question and reactions to it in Canada, through an album of newspaper clippings collected by James Albert Whittaker during 1920 to 1923, augmented by correspondence and small brochures from the same time period.

The fonds consists of four albums and several separate documents. The albums contain collections of greeting cards, Irish songs and poetry, family photographs, and newspaper clippings on the Irish Question. Furthermore, the fonds includes without limitations newspapers, sheet music, brochures, correspondence, a map of Ireland, drawings (including original artwork for the United Irish Societies of Montreal logo), and the text of an address on Irish-Canadian history given at the St. Patrick's Society Ball in 1872 by John O'Farrell, president of the Hibernian Benevolent Society of Quebec.

The Mary-Jacques Cambay Collection is the result of Mary-Jacques Cambay‘s research into stained-glass in Quebec, and the contributions of artists working in stained-glass to the Province's artistic heritage. The collection documents stained-glass windows existing in Quebec churches during the 1970s and 1980s. It also includes information pertaining to select churches. In addition, the collection documents the works of a number of stained glass artists, including Guido Nincheri, Charles William Kelsey, and Flavien St. Pierre, and the stained-glass studio "Canadian Pittsburgh Industries Limited" (C.P.I.). Importantly, it contains oral history interviews conducted by Cambay with artists working in stained glass.

The Mary-Jacques Cambay collection is composed mostly of photographic materials in form of prints and slides, but also audio cassettes and textual records. As textual materials, the collection consists in pamphlets, newspaper clippings, correspondence, extracts from reference works, and handwritten notes. An index of Quebec churches with stained glass windows completes the collection.

The Conseil Quebecois de l’estampe (CQE) fonds provides information about the administration, finances, publications, and programming activities of the CQE from its founding in 1978 to 2005, when it changed its name to Arprim (Regroupement pour la promotion de l’art imprimé). In addition to documentation about the administration and programming of the CQE, the fonds also includes an extensive collection of artists’ files, providing an important record of members and their work. These files contain photographs, exhibition catalogues, newspaper clippings, brochures, slides and other documents. The fonds also contains the CQE bulletin, Bon-à-tirer, documentation concerning the publication of the Code d’éthique and yearly documentation of the Prix Albert-Dumouchel¸among other documents.

Fonds consists of materials accumulated by Edith Mather resulting from her friendship with Irving Layton. It also contains a painting of Irving Layton by Edith Mather.

Alex Robertson fonds

Between 1940 and 1986, Alex Robertson collected records. Most of the recordings in the fonds are 78 rpm's pressed in Montreal by Berliner and Compo: Berliner was the first Canadian company to produce records, and Compo was the first to record Canadian Black musicians. The fonds contains a large number of sound recordings that have never had commercial or widespread distribution. The fonds includes about 3,000 pieces of sheet music of various genres, dating from ca 1885 to 1970; about 1,000 pieces have Canadian content. The fonds includes numerous catalogues and promotional pamphlets from record and sheet-music publishing companies, dealers, clubs, and radio stations. Also included are books annotated by Alex Robertson in the course of his disco-graphical research. Alex Robertson's research materials on record labels and series, as well as on Montreal musical activity between 1913 and 1970 are included in the fonds. His extensive correspondence and related newsletters are included. The fonds includes photographs of Alex Robertson with his family; there is also a photograph of Alex Robertson with jazz author George Martin, and several of a reception held in his honor in the Concordia University Archives reading room in 1988.

Fonds consists of material accumulated and created by Derek Stanford about Christopher Fry. It also contains documents created by Christopher Fry. Materials in this fonds are primarily dated 1969-1970, though select documents are dated 1955.

Materials include correspondence, manuscripts, published essays and reviews, newspaper clippings, photographs, theater programs, and other ephemera documenting Stanford professional relationship with Fry and the British playwright’s work. Documents primarily concern Fry’s A Yard of Sun (1970) and his English translation of Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt (1970). The fonds also contains limited material regarding A Sleep of Prisoners (1951). Documents also concern essays about the life and work of Christopher Fry written by Derek Stanford.

The collection also contains the prototype of Hour.

Bellelle Guerin fonds

The Bellelle Guerin fonds documents life and work of the Guerin family. Most significantly, the materials contained in the fonds pertain to the careers of John Edmund Guerin and Bellelle Guerin. The fonds also contains materials concerning other members of the Guerin family. Two scrapbooks document John Edmund Guerin’s political career as mayor of Montreal from his election in 1910 until 1912. These scrapbooks also contain materials concerning important events occurring during his mandate, including the International Eucharist Congress; the visits of Earl Grey and the duke and duchess of Connaught; and the death of King Edward 7th, among others. A third scrapbook contains information pertaining to the 1917 election and the Catholic Women’s League of Canada. Some documents are also related to Thomas or Mary Carroll Guerin. The fourth scrapbook contains clippings of newspaper articles, most of which were written by Thomas Guerin, Bellelle’s father. These articles concern Thomas Guerin's work as a civil engineer in Montreal in the 1870s and 1880s, and document a number of his concerns, including sewerage problems and floods in Montreal.

The Bellelle Guerin fonds is composed of 4 scrapbooks containing clippings and memorabilia, and a pin given to James John Edmund Guerin during the Eucharist Congress in 1910.
