Hyland, HarryThe series illustrates the career of Harry James, an American Jazz musician. Harry James was born in Albany, Georgia, United States in 1916. He was a trumpet player and band leader during the Big Band Era. Harry James was married to actress Betty Grable. He died in 1983.
The series includes without limitations two scrapbooks, photographs, correspondence, discographies, press clippings, posters, and several issues of The Music Maker, a magazine published by the Harry James Appreciation Society.

The sub-series documents the YMCA health care program addressing issues such as youth alienation, drug abuse and alcoholism. It also provides information on the creation of the Montreal Youth Clinic in 1969, which offered medical services and advice to 8,000 youth annually.
The records include correspondence with provincial and federal Health and Welfare Departments, Montreal Youth clinic evaluations and reports, brochures and documentation on drug use-related materials.
