The collection also includes, 52 CDs, 12 mini-CDs, 4 LPs, 8 cassettes, and 5 VHS and beta of spoken word and poetry released between 1971 and 2014; newspaper clippings; notes and working papers; manuscript drafts and translations; galley proofs; correspondence; and research materials, among other documents. Materials concerning Montreal literary festivals, including Blue Metropolis and the Festival Voix d’Amériques, can be found throughout.

The fonds provides information on rhythm and blues music in Montreal.

The fonds contains a Concordia University paper written in 2000, entitled Notes in Time: A Brief Oral History of Montreal's Rhythm and Blues Club Circuit, on the club circuit in Montreal 1967-1999. It includes video interviews with four rhythm and blues musicians and a laser copy of an exterior photograph of the Montreal night club Rockhead's Paradise.

The Nat Raider fonds documents the Montreal music scene from the 1950s until the 1970s, mostly by means of sheet music used in performances of the Nat Raider orchestra.

The fonds consists of materials used by the Nat Raider Orchestra, including sheet music and hand-written arrangements. Among these documents you will find “Le Caf’ Conc' Opening Theme” composed by Nat Raiser. Also included are song lyrics, performance notes, correspondence, and documents related to the performance of comedy.

The Gerry Hanson fonds contains documentation pertaining to Montreal's music scene during the big-band era, and illustrates Gerry Hanson’s life as a musician.

The fonds consists of 12 photographs showcasing Montreal orchestras in which Hanson performed, including the Westernaires, the Blue Serenaders, the Alouette Band, and Paul Beauregard’s Orchestra. The performers depicted in these photographs are mostly identified. The fonds also includes photocopies of press clippings.

The fonds also includes information on the Blue Metropolis foundation, a not-for-profit organization located in Montreal, Quebec, responsible for the annual Blue Metropolis Montreal International Literary Festival. Finally, the fonds provides a glimpse into the life of Jewish emigrants. It also contains information about Canadian and international artists working during the second half of the 20th century.

The Mary Morter fond contains documents pertaining to theater in Montreal. More specifically, the fonds is composed of materials concerning the Instant Theatre and the Pendulum Theatre, both located in Montreal and founded and run by Mary Morter in the 1960s and 1970s. The fonds provides an overview of the programming at both theatres. It also provides insight into how the theaters were perceived by the public. In addition, the fonds contains a number of documents focusing on the play North American Indian Legends by Pendulum Theatre. Documents created by other theatres located in Montreal or Toronto provide additional insight into the English-speaking theatre scene in those cities in the 20th century.

The Mary Morter fonds contains theatre programs, photographs, posters, correspondence, magazines, scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, a sound recording, and various plays, among other documents.

The collection documents the events which occurred in 1987 and 1988 in the Overdale neighbourhood. It witnesses to the efforts made not only by the local residents but also architects, planners, and others to influence the City of Montreal to avoid demolishing historic buildings and established neighborhoods, and to preserve the city’s built heritage.

The collection includes photographs, moving images, sound recordings, press releases, clippings, meeting notices, correspondence, reports, newsletters and statements on the Overdale resistance prepared by former residents.

The collection provides visual information on World War II. The pictures were taken in Europe, Japan, China, the Philippines, and the Arctic. The collection also includes National Film Board photojournalism on uranium mining for nuclear power in Canada, and other topics.

The collection consists of pictures, many of them produced under the auspices of the War Records Office of International News Agencies. The Collection contains news service photographs as well as photographs from the Canadian Armed Forces. Also included are original identifying captions that accompanied their transmission by news media wire services. Most of the photographers remain unidentified. They made their photographs while on assignment for international news agencies or the War Records Office for distribution to the news media.

The documents relate to the artistic career of Kina Reusch and her participation in Corridart dans la rue Sherbrooke and the subsequent legal proceedings known as L'Affaire Corridart.

Included are photographs (slides,prints and negatives), textual documents including articles, clippings, and personal records, and a video of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation program "Kina Reusch: the New Penelope". The fonds includes a 151-page brief (Mémoire des appellants) for the Corridart hearings at the Appeal Court and a copy of the July-August 1976 issue of ArtsCanada which has a feature on Corridart.
