The fonds mainly provides information on Linda Kay’s research on the pioneering female journalists who travelled together to cover St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904 and on the Canadian Women’s Press Club (CWPC).

The fonds includes research materials mainly composed of correspondence, articles, and photocopies of various documents (mainly 1887-1904) related to the pioneering female journalists. It also contains interviews with CWPC members during the Centennial anniversary of the Club in 2004 and recordings of the entire event which includes a re-enactment of the original Sweet Sixteen trip to the World’s Fair in St. Louis in 1904. There are also original documents related to one of the 1904 pioneering female journalist, Alice Asselin (nee LeBoutillier): five photographs (1930s-1950s), and a few textual records on the history of the LeBoutillier family.

The ADMINISTRATION subseries is comprised of records related to Thomas Waugh's participation in the HIV/AIDS Advisory Committee (1993-1998), in the Faculty of Fine Arts Task Group on Canadian and Quebec Cultural Issues (1983-1984) and in the Working Group on Curriculum of the Status of Women Committee (1986-1987).

The CONFERENCES, SEMINARS, TALKS subseries includes records related to the attendance of Thomas Waugh to various conferences in Quebec and Ontario, most notably at the Representing AIDS: Crisis and Criticism Conference held at the University of Western Ontario where he made a presentation on the theme of 'Erotic self-images in the Gay Male AIDS Melodrama' in November 1988. The subseries also contains records related to his involvement in Concordia University's HIV/AIDS Lecture Series from 1993 to 2013 with correspondence, logistics files, media coverage and promotional material.

The fonds documents Mark Abley’s career as a writer from 1972 to 2015 and his contribution to the Canadian literary culture. It reflects his work as journalist, especially for La Gazette, and his freelance writing in the fields of journalism, poetry, children’s books, editing, and non-fiction books. Furthermore, the fonds illustrates Abley’s various ways to give on his passion, be it through lectures, workshops, conferences, school visits or even religious services.
Finally, the fonds gives an insight into English literature from Quebec, especially poetry, dating from the 1970s to 2014, mainly through a collection of chapbooks and monographies, which are all signed by the authors. This collection is completed by several literary magazines and issues of Ogmios, the Journal of the Foundation for Endangered Languages.
The subjects of endangered languages and English as part of Quebec’s language culture have been repeatedly treated by Abley and can be found throughout the fonds.
The fonds also includes interviews that Abley conducted within the scope of his research with several English-speaking writers, such as Jane Goodall, Henry Kissinger, and others.

The Graeme Clyke fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by Graeme Baxter Clyke related to the Negro Community Centre (NCC), Union United Church, Royal Arthur School, Little Burgundy, and Saint-Henri. Photographs showcase programs and activities offered at NCC, including dance and music lessons, arts and crafts, wood working, sports, summer camps, and games. They also depict NCC staff, including but not limited to Stanley Clyke, Emily Clyke, Lawrence Sitahal, Daisy Peterson Sweeney, Martha Griffiths, and Mrs. Palmas. Photographs also show the interior and exterior of the NCC, Union United Church, Royal Arthur School, and the Universal Negro Improvement Association (U.N.I.A.). They also depict many other buildings around Little Burgundy and Saint-Henri. Students and teachers at the NCC and Royal Arthur School appear throughout the photographs, as do members of the Union United Church. The Black Studies Centre fonds contains materials documenting the administration, services, and activities of the Black Studies Centre from its beginnings as the National Black Coalition Quebec Institute of Research until 2014.
