Henry F. Hall

Henry F. Hall, fourth principal of Sir George Williams University (1957-1962), dean (1936-1956) and student counsellor, and full-time faculty member in the Natural Sciences Division (1934-1967).. He received an honorary degree from Sir George Williams University in 1966. To honour his long administrative and teaching career, the new university building located on de Maisonneuve Boulevard (formerly Burnside Street) opened in 1966 was named the Henry F. Hall Building.

Gwen Lord

Gwen Lord, B.Sc '56. She became the first black principal in the PSBGM (now the English Montreal School Board), at Northmount High School, in 1977. In her days at SGW, she also played with the women's basketball team, the Georgettes.

Irving R. Tait, member of the Board of Governors of Sir George Williams University from 1953-1973. As chairman of its building committee, he led in the planning and development of the Henry F. Hall Building. He received an honorary degree from Concordia University in November 1976.
