Transcendence by Walter Führer. The sculpture is one of the twenty sponsored by the House of Seagram for Expo '67. The 10,000 pound, 24-foot sculpture is made of six parts of welded steel and brass which have been bolted together. The multi-part structure represents man and space travel. The brass ball in the centre is a motorized globe. Viewed from the side, the piece suggests a human figure while from the front it resembles a rocket. 'Transcendence' has been generously donated by the House of Seagram to Loyola College in 1968 and is now permanently sited on the southwest corner of the campus.

Two elevators serve the building. A TV room, an exercise room, a music room, a 2 car garage and an outside parking complete the services planned in the construction of the building.
