The subseries documents the Black Studies Centre’s endeavors to make information about Black history, culture, and contributions available to the community through a vast collection of books and other textual material, slides, audio recordings and films. This documentation is represented not only through the original card catalog, lists and bibliographies, but also through a wide array of publications collected by the Center that are available as part of the fonds. In addition, the series contains documents pertaining to the organization of the Black Studies Centre library and the work of its employees.
The subseries contains, among other documents, bibliographies, reviews, notes, poems, essays, speeches, lists, leaflets, brochures, newsletters, pamphlets, booklets, studies, accession records, photographs, thesis, reports, periodicals, magazine and newspaper articles, correspondence, subscriptions, a poster, and a map.
