      Conservation

The maps that compose this collection are currently in the process of being restored. The maps were previously mounted into frames using poor quality enclosures. This mounting caused damage to the items. Further, the paper-based frames caused the items to be very difficult to maneuver. To ensure that the maps were not damaged further, access was limited.
