Lawrence Hayward est né le 10 novembre 1930 à Midland, Ontario.Il avait deux frères. Hayward était massothérapeute, artiste, écrivain et collectionneur d'art, et il a écrit de nombreuses biographies sur des sculpteurs canadiens. Son travail sur les sculpteurs canadiens a commencé en 1963, lorsqu'on lui a demandé d'écrire des biographies de Frances Loring et Florence Wyle. En 1965, Hayward avait rassemblé de la documentation sur 65 sculpteurs. Il est décédé en janvier 2015 à Kingston, Ontario.

May Ebbitt Cutler was a Canadian writer and publisher.

She was born as May Ebbitt in Montreal, Quebec, on September 4, 1923 as the daughter of Irish immigrants. In 1952, she married the labour lawyer Phil Cutler. They had four sons : Keir, Adam, Michael and Roger. May Cutler died March 3, 2011 at the age of 87 in Montreal.

May Cutler received a master’s degree in arts from McGill in 1945, and a MA in journalism from Colombia University, New York City. She worked as a journalist for newspapers like the Montreal Herald and the Montreal Standard. She also wrote several books, especially for children, and plays. In 1967, she founded Tundra Books, a publisher's house for children's books in Montreal, thus being the first female publisher of children's books in Canada. Cutler ran Tundra Books until it was sold to McClelland and Stewart in 1995.
In 1987, May Cutler became the first female mayor of Westmount for a four-year period. She also was member of the Council on the Arts of the Montreal Urbain Community.

Harold Herbert Potter was born on March 27, 1914 and died on May 8, 2004 in Montreal. He attended Sir George Williams College and graduated with a BA in 1939. He was editor of the SGW College weekly newspaper, The Georgian, in 1938-1939 and co-producer of the annual song and dance revue “The Georgiantics” in 1939 and 1940. In 1937, Potter composed “The Georgian Marching Song”, a college hymn to build up in the students a real sense of college life. After he graduated, he worked several years as Acting Boy’s Work Secretary at the Central YMCA. From there, he went to the Dominion Electric Protection Company as Assistant to the Plant Manager. In 1942, he joined the Canadian Army, starting out in the Signal Corps and ending up in the Canadian Army Organization Research Group, helping to develop psychological tests. After the war, Harold Potter entered McGill University to do post-graduate studies in Sociology and completed a MA in 1949.
He joined Sir George Williams University in 1947 as lecturer in Sociology and was promoted assistant professor in 1949. He became associate professor in 1954 and full professor in 1963. He was chairman of the Sociology Department from 1963-1964 to 1966-1967. In 1969-1970, he was a visiting professor of Sociology at the Southeastern Massachusetts University for a year. He continued teaching at Concordia until he retired in 1977.

Bellelle Guerin était une écrivaine canadienne et la fondatrice et première présidente de la Ligue des femmes catholiques du Canada ) (Catholic Women's League of Canada). Bellelle Guerin est née sous le nom de Mary Ellen Guerin le 24 septembre 1849 à Montréal. Elle était l'aînée de six enfants et fille unique de l'ingénieur civil Thomas Guerin et de Mary Maguire, tous deux d'origine irlandaise. Guerin a passé plusieurs années de son éducation au couvent Mont Sainte-Marie à Montréal. Pendant ce temps, elle est devenue célèbre en tant qu'écrivain et poète. C'est alors qu'elle a adopté le nom de Bellelle Guérin.

Guerin ne s'est jamais mariée, mais a élevé les deux enfants de son frère, Thomas et Mary Carroll, après la mort de leur mère en 1888. Son frère, James John Edmund Guerin (4 juillet 1856 – 10 novembre 1932), était médecin et homme politique. Lorsqu'il est élu maire de Montréal en 1910, Bellelle exerçait la fonction de mairesse. Au cours des deux années suivantes, elle accompagnait son frère à des fonctions civiques et participait à des événements tels que le Congrès eucharistique international, tenu à Montréal en 1910, et la visite d'Earl Grey à Montréal.

En 1917, Guerin devient présidente du Catholic Women's Club, anciennement le Ladies of Loyola Club. En novembre 1917, la section montréalaise de la Catholic Women’s League (CWL) est fondée, avec Guerin comme première présidente. Pour unifier les différentes branches de la CWL, en juin 1920 la Catholic Women's League of Canada est créée sous l'initiative de Guerin, et encore une fois, elle est élue première présidente.

En 1922, Guerin a recu la croix Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice de l'Église catholique romaine. En 1923, elle est nommée présidente honoraire à vie de la Catholic Women's League of Canada. Entretemps, le nombre de membres nationaux de la CWL était passé à 50 000.

Bellelle Guerin est décédée le 28 janvier 1929 à Montréal à l’âge de 79 ans.

Dorothy Evelyn Harper est née le 3 avril 1921 à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique. Elle a déménagé à Ottawa, en Ontario, lorsqu'elle était adolescente, puis a vécu et travaillé à Montréal, au Québec. En septembre 1947, Harper épousa Allan Gordon (Gord) Craig alors qu'il était dans l'Aviation royale canadienne. Ils ont eu deux enfants, respectivement en 1953 et 1955. Dans les années 1960, Harper a lancé sa propre entreprise, Dorothy E. Craig Imports, qui importait entre autres des vêtements et des chaussures pour femmes de Hong Kong. Harper est décédé en décembre 2003.
