Biographical history

Tina Brereton, née Baines, was a dancer in the first all-Canadian Black chorus line in Montreal.

Custodial history

The fonds was transferred from Concordia University's Records Management and Archives Department to Concordia University Libraries' Special Collections March 16, 2016.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of photographs which recall the period during the 1940s when Tina Brereton danced in shows to the accompaniment of jazz music at Café St-Michel in Montreal.
